Meet the Business Owner: Mario J. Mario Johnson began his career in the restaurant business flipping hamburgers for McDonald"s. During his stint as a merchant seaman, he expanded his culinary skills at the Culinary Academy of Piney Point, Maryland. Over the years he has worked for such prestigious hotels as Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and St. Francis - San Francisco in their restaurants and banqueting departments. He has also worked for some of the most outstanding restaurants, including, MacArthur Park - San Francisco, Creola Bistro - San Carlos, Skates on the Bay, Spangers, McCormick & Schmick's - Los Angeles, and Marmalade Cafe. Today he applies all of his culinary skill and expertise to creating delicious dishes for the patrons of Grandma's House. Mario believes that great food and outstanding customer service are the backbone of a successful catering business. Everything from an intimate dinner for two to a back yard barbeque for 200 are handled with flair, ease and professionalism.
