Mission of the Governmental Affairs Committee
The Harbor City/Harbor Gateway Chamber of Commerce is committed to be the voice for business in the Harbor Area and will continue to be an aggressive advocate for the business community exercising its influence within the local, state, and federal government, as well as the surrounding business community.
All Chamber members are invited to be a part of the process by advocating for business at the Governmental Affairs Committee. The Committee’s primary purpose is to be the voice for the business community within the Harbor City/Harbor Gateway communities. The Committee monitors and tracks legislation that affects business. The Committee maintains a very close relationship with local, state, and federal officials and/or their respective staff. The Committee takes a stance on local, state and federal issues and initiatives, as well as those in specialty districts (i.e. water, energy, etc.).
